Sept. 7th, 2009 - New Perspective!

It only took a few days for Nati to learn she can crawl, pull up to stand... and CLIMB!

Apa and Nana Babysit!

It has been over nine months since Cielo and I went to the movies, so Apa and Nana offered to babysit Nati so we could enjoy an afternoon at the cinema. While Cielo and I were nervous that she might cry and give Nana and Apa a hard time, we were glad to hear she didn't fuss at all! She had a great time playing with all the toys Nana put together in her own basket and listened to the Seasame Street record from Cielo's childhood. Looks like Cielo and I will get to go on more dates!

Hangin' with Nana!

Kisses from Apa!

"Check out my tiny pua!"

Sept. 5th, 2009 - First UH Game!

Watching University of Hawaii football is a huge event here in Hawaii. On Saturday, we went to Mama and Papa Judd's house to watch the game... well, Nati prefered to play with Parker rather than watch the game, but there was good fun had by all!

Taking a ride on Parker's tricycle!

"How does this thing work?

The girls in their UH gear playing ball in the garage.

All Gums!

Nati still has no signs of teeth and we are in no hurry to lose this cute toothless smile!

Aug. 25th, 2009 - On the Move!

Yep, Nati has learned to crawl in what seemed to be over night. On Sunday, she was on all fours just rocking back and forth and the next day, she was taking her first crawling steps! Time to baby proof the house!

On your mark, get set...

GO!

Made it to mommy!

Smiling cute for the camera...

No, she just wants to get the camera!

Aug. 16th, 2009 - Weigh In!

Even though there is a six month difference between Nati and Jacob, they are pretty close in size. Just out of curiosity, we wanted to see just how close there are!

"Hey Cuz, don't cry... check out my toy."

First Auntie P weighs in.

Nati's turn - 16.5 pounds.

Now J.W. - 15.5 pounds (1 pound difference)

As Lea says "Cheeky ladies!"

Perfect baby pua for Nati!

Playdate!

While Dad was in Japan for work, Nati had a playdate with Cousin Jacob and a few of his friends. We had a wonderful time playing with toys on the lahala mat in the backyard.

Not sure what it is about Jacob's ears, but Nati can't seem to get enough!

Nati being a good girl, sharing her toys!

Until he got ahold of her favorite rattle.

"I'll take that" she said with a smile!

Aug. 13th, 2009 - 9 Months Old

With each passing day, Nati's personality comes out more and more. At nine months, she knows exactly what she wants and doesn't let up until she gets it! I believe we have a very determined little girl on our hands. I have heard we should "pick our battles" - guess who won?
.
Nati didn't want to eat dinner in her high chair, so we had dinner on the kitchen floor!

Yep, Nati wins!

Aug. 9th, 2009 - Hey Cuz!

Sunday dinner was at Uncle Josh, Auntie Lea and Cousin Jacob's house this week and once again, the kids were the center of flashing cameras. Auntie Lea had some great captions for this photo shoot.

"Good Chinese boy, bows to older cousin."

"Who you callin'old??!!"

"Oooh, but I love those cheeks!"

"What? I shouldn't touch his face?"

"OK, how about I just touch him with my pinky?!!"

Silly Car Ride

Nati shows her silly side on a car ride to town!

Aug. 2nd, 2009 - Pretty in Pink!

We had Sunday dinner at our house and Auntie Lea brought Nati some new hair accessories. The little pua matched her outfit perfectly!
 Such a girly girl!

Still holding on to the tiny curl!

"Yah... I'm sitting in a pink chair - thanks cuz!"

Daddy's New Tattoo

In honor of his precious little girl, Cielo got Nati's middle name tattooed on his shoulder. Seeing as her name has 31 characters, it took a few hours to complete!

He la makani mai ka pono o ka iwi ahu ula

New Chair!

As Nati continues to grow and manipulate her environment, we have to adjust! She has figured out how to spin herself in her Bumbo chair and wiggle her way out. Time for a high chair!

Obviously done with the Bumbo chair!

It even comes with a new toy!

Happy to be in her new chair!

Wild Kingdom

We got a bird feeder for the backyard so Nati can sit and watch the birds while she eats breakfast. Little did we know that putting some seeds out would invite wild kingdom to our backyard. It was fine the first day, but they must have told all their friends because they ate all the seeds in two days.

Our litte bird watcher!

July 26th, 2009 - Sunday Dinner

We can never take too many pictures of these two together!

Riding with Jacob to Foodland, then on to Apa and Nana's house for dinner.

"Here Jacob, give me your hand."

"OK, hurry... take the picture!"

"Look at those cute piggies!"

Looking at his Mommy, true adoration!

Our Kind of Church!

It is nice to attend church where there are as many kids as adults! The babies are eating/sleeping, toddlers are playing with toys in the middle of the lahala mat and the older kids are sitting quietly reading. This is our kind of Church!

Content grandparents with babies in their arms!

Nati is helping Nana find the song we will sing next!
